The company initially entered into a partnership with Fraser Alexander, providing bulk earthworks, bulk materials handling, and opencast mining services.
In 2006, a strategic decision was made to position Agy Mining Resources as an independent and significant player in the mining services sector. While the initial focus was on growth within the Steelpoort Valley, the business soon expanded its operations into the North West and Mpumalanga provinces.
In 2017, Agy Mining Resources acquired Fraser Alexander Bulk Mech, expanding its service offering and strengthening its footprint within the coal mining market. That same year, the company relocated to its head office in Sandton.
